Casey Reply March 8, 2009 Hi Robert, I'm not sure if just removing your hard drive to recover files off of it would void the warranty or not. Anyone have any experience with that brand? https://forums.techguy.org/threads/opinions-on-beyondmicro-external-hard-drive-or-recommendations-on-external-case.381320/
From what I've sniffed on here, Seagate and Lacie seem to be the best, in that order. Then back to normal. DJ Upperkuts 3:51 PM - 19 October, 2006 a pic...
Love it got like 300 or so albums and about 5000 Singles the pie shows a dent. External power supply Price:179.99 (was on sale) How good is it?: so far so good I have had no problems. (Clear case with color changing lights...) Anton 7:26 PM - 5 However, I don't think I would even try it because I'm not sure what effects it might have on the LCD screen or the battery. As far as other brands of external hard drives go, I'm not sure.
It is only in this instance that freezing will work. I have some extra PCI slots, so adding a couple more IDE cables is not a problem. Read and write speeds are about 17MB/sec sustained, good enough for me. Just make sure that no moisture can get in. Anyways I took the HD out of the ipod, and stuck it in the freezer over night, and the next morning everyone was amazed that it worked. sinjintek 4:50 AM - 21 June, 2006 Brand name: Fantom Drives Model: Titanium Firewire, USB or both: USB Capacity: 250GB Size - 3.5"(desktop size) or 2.5"(laptop size): Desktop Powered by USB/Firwire
Freezing had gotten a lot of mileage in recent years as a recovery method, but most people that have touted it hve no idea why it works, or when to apply http://landersstudios.com/registeredusers/pack/beyond-micro-external-hard-drive-driver.htm I can easily take apart the case to swap drives. that drive sat in a drawer for 6 or 7 years unnoticed, but last year i pulled it out just to see, and plugged it in, IT STILL WORKED! needs power cable for power, not usb powered, and its easy to break the pins on the power cord.
Casey Reply September 12, 2007 Snx, Maybe this article will help. check my blog i really need whats in the harddrive. It recognizes the drive but doesn't show any folders or files… No clicking, sounds like it is trying to access. stone Reply October 16, 2013 dear casey, you says "make sure that no moisture can get in" mean is must in vacuum condition or what?
Absolutely no problems with this drive so far. Looking at the Western Digital 500gb or the Maxtor 500gb. Run Hot a lil but thats normal. I bought a Lacie 320gb d2 with USB2.0/FW 400/Fw800.
Very fast, very easy to use, especially with iTunes. I would really need to know if anybody has had this same issue and I would need to know if the freezing trick could help or need to know if it I think Lacie has Maxtor drives inside? The HDD also has a nice turqouise glow like the Numark TTX table.
My hard drive is currently in two ziplocks in the freezer. It does have hardware to be rack mounted. It froze on me so i force quit and restart the computer. have a peek at these guys I Have dropped it several times and accidentally lost the power to it.
these past 2 days, the power had been cut off and on, since i've got problem with my electrical plug. If you need RAID data recovery, we can help. I'm good with 320, atleast for now till the music pile up somemore... No set-up or formatting so it was just pretty much plug and go, and my laptop easily picked it right up, ready for use.
Ya well I know computer stuff very well also and only using half your drive is a huge waste of space. This area is for discussion about DJing in general.
