Up to 70-85 depending and from the room temperature at full load is ok. My ATI HD5770 doesnt crash either but gets really loud and can heat my computer room nicely. Sound Tab 4: No problems found. or 75% of my gaming experience. have a peek here
For example, ATI claims that my card (Radeon HD 4870x2) can tolerate up to 100 C. DX10/11 mode crashes within minutes. Basically all we can do is compare how hot our GPUs gets with this game vs. Yes, there is a very hot and steady stream of hot air pouring out of holes in the back near the ports.
My PSU blew last week and I’m currently using a 5 year old 400W power supply to power my computer (only one HD3870 is connected, 1x DVD Drive everything else is Log in / Username Password Verification Stay logged in Login Forgot Your Password? With this game, it seems the opposite. Kudos to poster Liberal for the heads-up. Under full load (use 3Dmark here to strain your computer and see the temp increase) you should be under 65°c on a desktop and under 85°c on a laptop. --Notes, nothing lightning89, Aug 17, 2009 #5 Megabite Joined: Apr 5, 2008 Messages: 11,761 Yes sometimes the newer drivers are not always the best......you might need to reconfigure your fans ....some Blow some
If your statement is true, that our cards failed because they were pushed to 100%, and were faulty, then why wouldn't other applications, that push my card to the same limit, Alt-tabbing out from CIV 5 brings it down to maybe 93.. I can give you the exact specs of the PC from my old purchase receipt, if that helps (and as I've said, I've since upgraded to windows 10): Processor 1 x It's fantastic, can't believed it worked!
The game does not control how much heat the GPU produces, can not have a bug that causes more heat to be generated than the GPU does on its ow The CPU - Idle temp - around 68 C . If I try going on max settings, that my friend, is a different story. How does one adjust one's fan speed?
Just Cause 2, a very graphical game, only got my GPU up to 80 or so (on the same night when Xsyon ran it to 90). http://newwikipost.org/topic/p1YNQbpYbZRiJwpGMURcwGxJi9hGJrNb/Computer-shuts-down-when-idle-no-heating-issues.html not good. Oh and the screenshot of the temperatures are from Lozzykinz’s laptop, it’s an Acer Aspire 31g with a 2.0Ghz Core 2 Duo T8500 (according to windows and DX), GeForce 8600m GS I don't feel comfortable running the software after reading this thread.
Discussion in 'Hardware' started by lightning89, Aug 17, 2009. navigate here Definitely below the 55C that many people state for the 280 idle temp. I've been able to play a bit, but I've yet to manually shut down the game, as it always crashes before I get that far. If you’d like to find what temperature your CPU and GPU should be running at usually you can head to Toms Hardware, that site has tested pretty much everything and you
Sinjin05-28-2010, 05:30 PMSame thing here. 8800 Ultra. Is that something I should worry about? Now I can run desktop aps ok, but anything 3d and my card assplodes. Check This Out I listed now so maybe its easiet to read or something.
Please, in your infinite wisdom, (which can be observed through your obviously well thought out and not pointless at all post) explain to me why my computer can easily handle Dawn Or one could say the game is released to early. Yeah, I would have asked for a refund, but Steam does not take refunds.
I rarely go over 30-40 FPS and that's only when looking at the ground. Minimal dust inside the case. NB. Example, Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl requires a minimum of 1GB of RAM, however, from experiences (particularly with ATI Graphics) 1GB of RAM causes the computer to shut down, upping to 2GB
After a few minutes in Ashran it reaches around 100-103C, black screens and the GPU fan automatically sets itself to 100%. What is going on!!! I dont think this is coincidence that my graphics card is doing this after almost a week or straight starcraft 2... this contact form Sinovhan09-23-2010, 04:42 AMRepost of mine from a different thread.

When I moved it to the side the carpet underneath it was melted. My case is extremely large, parts are far apart from each other, and there is a grill on the front of my PC larger than many cars. My GTX470 runs the game beautifully and stably, but it does go up in temp more (and the resulting fan noise that comes with it) than any other game I have It's called 'Riva?' My GPU fan speed is currently on automatic, though I did boost it up to 100% and it didn't make much difference.
I never heard of it until I just searched for a way to stress test the GPU. So I adjusted the fan speed manually to 70% (from 30%), and this brought the temperature to a steady 60 degree celcius for much of the 20 minute gaming (noting that The software might need optimization but how do we know that is the issue? If your GPU is at 55C+ while idle, you need to start figuring out if you have a cooling issue.
The game also seemed to lock up about every 10 turns. Now my computer knowledge is pretty much limited to hardware. noobie12309-26-2010, 04:40 PMjust a fyi reply if you guys using directx 10/11 mode, make sure you're on windows vista/7 and your graphics card supports directx 11 (~2009 release or so). What is the brand of your GPU?
The 'wheel' that you see turning is an intake that is pushing air into the heatsink. One thing I have noticed is my GPU fans do not seem to be throttling up like they should. In addition, it seems that while with V-Sync on, everything runs normally, it appears that if I alt-tab to anything that covers the ENTIRE game window, my computer's resource usage spikes Becasue in rive tuner its on auto control and its at 36%.
I may turn off V Sync to see if that helps.
