Ajit S. In Device Manager, locate the network adapters, and right-click and select Uninstall. I will use this knowledge and solve the problem. All of the above is based on your firm statement above that you have installed and configured the Network adapters ( Ethernet and Wireless) in the Windows 7 running PC using the Default gateway is 188.8.131.52, the IP is as you mentioned(198.168.n.n). Something was obviously getting in the way.
