confused to be exact. To answer your question about getting data from a boot drive that has XP and another that has another OS, I would need to know the OS. My drive is completely crashed, meaning when I boot the PC, it isn't recognized and the PC will not pass Post. The options are there but the only thing I can click is Delete Volume. When plugging it into my blu-ray it is bring up the setup option only and not allowing me to select movies, music or photo files.

If the drive doesn't show up in Disk Management after you've tried another computer, you may try the Device Manager. I must press W+R: devmgmt.msc and uninstall all USB slot, except keyboards and mouse.
