If it is set to Cable Select, and the CD drive is set to either Master or Slave, then it wont work. took the drive to mums house but i had no time to test my drive so i just took her drive she only used it twice and i know it work

Upgrade from win 7 pro 64 to 10 pro 64. Sometimes this bar moves normally, other times it is stuck and I have to shut the whole thing down before I restart it again. The time now is 19:11. It does give the option of using the asus update utility which should be in programs (apps in 10) but it isn't there. Thank you for taking the time to reply to my posts. Drive has power and spins up when disc is inserted.
It sounds like your OS has become corrupt, either missing or corrupt files or perhaps some malware has screwed it up.
